ASIC & other regulators have consistently challenged the industry to go beyond legal obligations & to do the right thing by customers. This is what we responded to in the first instance.
The urgency of our work was accelerated by the misconduct graphically heard in case studies at the Royal Commission. As Commissioner Hayne said – the norms of conduct are to obey the law & act fairly.
